Service Terms & Conditions

California Automotive Service Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all diagnostic, repair, maintenance, fabrication, and performance services performed by SakeBomb Garage (“Shop”). By authorizing service, the customer (“Customer”) agrees to the following:

1. Authorization of Repairs & Vehicle Operation

Customer authorizes Shop to perform the repairs, services, diagnostics, and installations described on the work order, including all necessary labor, parts, materials, and sublet services.

Customer further authorizes Shop and its employees to operate the vehicle on public roads or private property for purposes of diagnosis, testing, inspection, verification of repairs, or quality control.

2. Estimates, Approvals & California BAR Compliance

  • Written estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Estimates are based on visible and known conditions at the time of inspection.

  • In accordance with California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regulations, no work exceeding the authorized estimate will be performed without Customer approval, except as allowed by law.

  • Additional repairs may be required due to hidden damage, corrosion, wear, prior modifications, or unforeseen conditions discovered during service.

3. No Warranty on Alignments

Due to variations in road conditions, vehicle condition, suspension wear, tire condition, and driving habits, no warranty is provided on alignments.

4. Customer-Supplied Parts

  • No warranty, express or implied, is provided on customer-supplied parts.

  • Shop is not responsible for defects, incorrect parts, improper fitment, premature failure, or manufacturer issues related to customer-supplied parts.

  • Additional labor resulting from incorrect, defective, or incomplete customer-supplied parts is billable.

5. Aftermarket & Performance Parts / Legal Compliance

  • Some aftermarket or performance parts installed by Shop may not be legal for use on public highways in California, including compliance with CARB, EPA, emissions, noise, or safety regulations.

  • Customer is solely responsible for verifying and maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Shop assumes no responsibility for failed inspections, citations, registration issues, or legal consequences resulting from such parts.

6. Limited Warranty on Shop-Supplied Parts & Labor

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Shop warrants its labor against defects in workmanship for a reasonable period.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to shop-supplied parts, subject to manufacturer terms.

  • Warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by misuse, abuse, racing, track use, off-road use, lack of maintenance, or normal wear and tear.

7. Racing, Track Use & High-Performance Disclaimer

Vehicles used for racing, track days, drifting, autocross, or other high-performance driving are subject to increased stress and risk of component failure.

Customer acknowledges and accepts all risks associated with such use. Shop assumes no liability for damage, injury, or failure resulting from motorsport or high-performance use.

8. Storage Fees & Vehicle Abandonment (California Law)

  • Vehicles not picked up within 7 days after notification of completion may be subject to daily storage fees.

  • Unpaid or unclaimed vehicles may be deemed abandoned and processed in accordance with California Civil Code and Vehicle Code, including lien sale procedures where applicable.

9. Mechanic’s Lien (California Civil Code)

Customer acknowledges that Shop has a mechanic’s lien on the vehicle for the value of labor, parts, storage, and authorized charges as permitted under California Civil Code §§ 3068–3074.

10. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Shop reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until payment is received.

  • Returned payments or chargebacks may result in additional fees.

11. Personal Property

Shop is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle. Customers are advised to remove valuables prior to service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under California law:

  • Shop is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.

  • Shop’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the services performed.

13. Acceptance

Authorization of service—whether written, electronic, or verbal—constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
